Well there is no question… none. Our country is about to enter a political blackhole of great consequence and conservative / independent voters reliance on the current Republican leadership to avoid the ensuing crush is at best wasted. Not only are our congressional and senatorial representatives unable to right the ship they have been either reluctant or inept to captain, but the ship is now so clearly lost in space they are all but clueless on how to navigate it back to earth, and do so without burning it up upon re-entry.

By way of example was the feckless effort put forth by the republican leadership in fighting the passage of the health care bill. It was, in every way possible, a tortuous excersise in mind numbing incompetence . Getting water boarded would have been more tolerable than being witness to the ineffectual bungling of their most sacred duty, that being the proper representation of their constituents. Now this is a harsh assessment but one in my opinion for which they are fully deserving. It must also be said that my comments are born out of anger, and so if you wish to discount my sentiment for its emotional bias please do so but the facts that bring it about are indisputable. That is of course unless you have kept your “eyes wide shut” these past nine years, or are such a partisan republican that you see only right, when wrong is evident and in abundance.

Why the past nine years, because it was during this period of time that the trust conservative, independent and republican voters alike bestowed on these republicans was lost and for no small reason. Today we find ourselves at the mercy of progressive liberal democrat, socialist majorities in both house and senate because of republican incompetence or worse yet, the willful abandonment of their stated political mores in all matter of national leadership. Their failure to govern according to stated conservative principles and values is a far greater evil than anything the current administration could advance and the reason is simple.

I am not now nor have I been, confused about the agenda of the democratic party. I believe there are many of you out there with a clarity of thought in this regard similar to my own. We did not vote our emotion this past election. We did not aspire to a hope and change born of lofty speech yet without basis of experience to support its delivery. No, there is nothing the democrats are doing today that is surprising to me for they have always been clear in the deception of their intent. Democrats, and certainly as presently experienced, are bad for America and will be for a very long time. Today we are provided the full benefit of that reality. No, we were not lemmings in pursuit of a political ideal, not this past election. But we were before and it has been this painful realization that cuts deep today and guides our caution.  It is because we were lemmings then that we now find ourselves in this quagmire. We followed each other blindly in support of party when little evidence to support our trust was evident, and in the end went right over the cliff of federal expansion and its resultant tyranny.

There is no reason to believe that the republicans currently in Washington will deliver us a better result than they did last time they were given the opportunity. If you believe otherwise you have parked your intellect at the door of rational thought and instead are relying on hope and that they change… and they won’t, or can’t. It is not within their personal makeup. They are, with rare exception, careerist politicians. They are far more concerned with advancing their personal agenda’s and playing the game of Washington power broker than doing whats in the best interest of you and I. They have proven it time and again. To presume that next time will be different is to be naive to a fault. Are you sure you can afford to be wrong again.

We owe it to ourselves and to our future generations to bring to an abrupt end this progressive liberal democrat march towards utopian fallacy. This socialist dream that is really nothing more than a loss of liberty for you and I and an expansion of power for them and their assigns. Of that there can be no question. What remains to decide is how to bring it about, and for me the choice is clear and it does not include republican incumbents. I shall seek others, others who are prepared to serve not for the value proposition of what is in it for them, but for their desire to serve and protect, and then go home and give another the chance to do the same. In this regard, intent, desire and love of country as we have known it, trumps experience of office. I would say we have had quite enough of that. Of course I could be wrong, you decide…
