Over the course of the past year, and to an ever growing number of America’s electorate, the true nature and ideology of the liberal democrat party has been exposed… and what has been revealed is as much distasteful as unacceptable and by all important measure.

Allow me to engage, but for a brief moment, in a (as proffered by others) passionate yet eloquent rant.  So qualified to allow for this posts ease of inclusion into the LemmingsOrLions catagory titled “Daily Rant”… and the first such entry.

Now I am just a simple individual, not having benefited from the experience of Ivy league education nor of continued “Higher Learning” in the form of Masters or PhD.

Remarkable as it may seem to those who have attained such stature, I have survived thanks to personal effort and support of friend and family. As such I have experienced a reasonable life, not much unlike the other millions upon millions that call America Home, either by birth, or as in my case, immigration.

While lacking this educational advantage (yes, open to debate, especially when experiencing the full benefit of leadership provided us by the Academic Scholars in our current Washington administration), I do seem to have picked up an increasingly rare quality erroneously referred to as “Common Sense”.

Erroneous only in that there is not much common about it, as is evidenced by its rarity…  particularly among the Progressive Liberal Left, and too be sure many of those in our current political leadership… of both party establishments. That being said, my uncommon sense has allowed for simple observations, combined with simple reflection, which has led me to some simple conclusions. For example;

Regarding progressive, liberal democrat ideology, which is clearly the ideology of our current President and his administration,  my conclusion is simply stated and a matter easily presented.

Whether by intent or otherwise, by design or ignorance of consequence, their policies of governance are in the very least socialist with a small “s” and in the worst Communist with a capital “C” (Think Marx, Lenin, Stalin among others). None of which is good, by any measure of prior human life experience, for the citizens of America.

The reality of this long embedded ideology in democrat politicians is readily presented by the historical actions of its leadership over the last 80 plus years. By way of illustration, some critical thinking… in the hope it can shed light where there may be darkness;

Karl Marx and Frederick Engels wrote the “Manifesto of the Communist Party”.

The “Communist Manifesto” is an expression of their belief in Socialism as the ultimate form of governance and one where (in a nutshell) the state owns and administers all production and distribution of goods AND services. In this theory of Utopian human existence, there is no private property… there is no private anything.

Marx and Engels believed in the;

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all rights of inheritance.
4. Centralization of credit in the banks of the state, by means of a national bank with state capital and an exclusive monopoly.
5. Centralization of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the state.
6. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the state.
7. The bringing into cultivation of waste lands with a common plan.
8. Equal obligation of all to work.
9. Gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country by a more equable distribution of the populace over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools.

So here is where I make the mighty leap, expressed in the Title of this posting and based readily so… on the application of “uncommon” sense.

1. As to abolition of property rights – Eminent domain, particularly in the taking of private land for assignment to other public or private interests (for purpose of increased local and state tax revenue) is occurring at an ever accelerating rate. States with the worst record of public/private use condemnations  are California, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan and Ohio. Runners-up include Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In all cases but for Kansas, these are Liberal Democrat controlled. Seems to me Liberal Democrats support taking what is yours and mine and giving it to someone else.  Appears “Marxist” to me.
2. As to a heavily progressive income tax – Tax the Rich! Tax the Rich! Liberal democrats support increased progressive taxes on the “Rich”, with no end in site. The one caveat is that in their world view this only applies to the “Rich” earning over $250,000, or was that $200,000. Well who knows, each day brings us a new threshold of “Rich”, as in “whatever they decide” or “whatever the current definition of “Rich” Is. Appears “Marxist” to me.
3. As to abolition of inheritance rights – Conservative republicans have continually attempted to repeal the inheritance tax believing that it unfairly steals what is left after a lifetime of taxation. Liberal democrats oppose all measures, choosing instead to compromise only on the size of the theft. And as we all know this changes with reckless abandon. Appears “Marxist” to me.
4. As to centralization of credit and banks – We have the Federal Reserve and its increasing grab on and control over our monetary system and the banks, private or public within it. The Federal Reserve,  brought to you by… Woodrow Wilson, a very very progressive liberal democrat. Appears “Marxist” to me.
5. As to centralization of communication and transport – On this one we can go wild with examples but here are but a few. “The Federal Communication Commission”, established by an act of congress as the “Communications Act of 1934″. It covers all radio, television, wire, satellite, cable and probably the Internet or soon enough. President at the time… Franklin D Roosevelt, Progressive Liberal Democrat.  “The United States Department of Transportation”, established by an act of congress in 1966. It covers aviation, roads, rail, maritime and every conceivable use of each. The President at the time… Lyndon B Johnson, liberal democrat. Appears “Marxist” to me.
6. As to extension of factories and production of the state – Well,  if not owned “then” owned “now”. Let us, for just a brief moment, go way back to 2009 as an example of this power grab. AIG, General Motors, Chrysler Corporation. Massive intrusion into Private and Public financial institutions, matters of energy policy and public or private utilities via active support of  “green” and/or active interference in matters of “black”. And this more evident now under Obama’s thumb than ever. Appears “Marxist” to me.
7. As to the bringing into cultivation or the use of waste lands – How about bringing into disuse, under the guise of preservation, millions of acres of productive land. Land over flowing with natural resources that could improve the quality of life for all Americans and in no small way. Land that if worked soundly could produce all of the energy abundance necessary to free us of our shackles to others. Raw materials in abundance to support our factories and the energy to run them. And who opposes these measures, time after time… liberal democrats. Opposition to off shore oil exploration. Limitation to clean coal energy production. Opposition to expanded Alaska oil production and pipeline development. Opposition to forestry efforts, mining efforts, land development for any and all uses all under the lie of environmental preservation. Look to California’s Central Valley as the most recent example of liberal democrat conversion of viable productive land to waste land, all in the name of preservation. Destroying people for the sake of Delta smelt fish. This under the “Endangered Species Act of 1973″ otherwise brought to you by the “Endangered Species Preservation Act of  1966″. You know, the act that enviro-nazis everywhere use to enforce their presumed moral supremacy over the rest of us.  And this ESP Act of 1966… brought to you, naturally, by President Lyndon B Johnson… Liberal Democrat. I think they misread that part of the “Communist Manifesto”. In any case the result is the same. Less liberty and freedom for us, and more power for them. Appears “Marxist” to me.
8. As to the obligation of all to work – Well how about equal pay for equal work… although I think the real meaning of Marx’s point here was forced labor for all. In any case “equal” sounds good to the ear until one attempts to define it and apply it and thats when the real Marxist agenda shows itself. It supports the union collective, undermines the Entrepreneurial democracy of our founding and the capitalist system inherent in it. And who brought us the Equal Pay Act of 1963 (whatever that means today) … John F. Kennedy, Democrat. Who signed the Equal Pay “Lily Ledbetter” equal Pay Act of 2009, President Obama our current very progressive liberal democrat. Appears “Marxist” too me.
9. As to the gradual abolition of all the distinction between town and country – Well this was sure advanced by the 17th amendment to the Constitution. A major blow to states independence and the leading cause of the major expansion of federal powers over state autonomy. And what better way to abolish town and country than to so obscure the relevance of lines of border by removing the states direct representation in the federal government. And who advanced the 17th amendment and signed it into law. Woodrow Wilson, progressive liberal democrat. Appears “Marxist” too me.
10. As to free education for all children in public schools -  How about free indoctrination at taxpayer expense and one increasingly of an anti capitalist pro socialist agenda. The Federal commitment to finance schools nationally, thereby making them free in deception only, was truly embedded in our federal government with the “Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965″. And who was the president at the time?  Lyndon B Johnson and right again… A liberal democrat and the “Great Society” President. Appears “Marxist” too me.

This leads me to conclude, as I am prone to do once presented with fact, that there is an obvious answer to the many claims that democrats in general, and Obama and the progressive liberal democrats he represents, not only embrace socialist ideology, but in large part Marxist ideology, wittingly or otherwise.

Of course one could agree to the facts just presented and still make the argument that while appearing Socialist/Marxist the policies embraced by these OH SO MANY democrat Presidents just reflects their kind human nature and need for social equality. As if they alone posses this inclination. Never mind that the natural consequence of this pursuit via this method of governance has proven time and time again, as the tyranny of a few over the many… and just guess where your going to end up in that equation.

I would suggest that in matters of politics it is often not the end goal that is so much in dispute but rather the method of obtaining it. At least to those who are honorable in their true intent, that being to govern as if one of those governed, and not as an elite “We Know Better” tyrant.

That being said, I side with Entrepreneurial Democracy which by every measure is the natural inclination of conservatives… and not socialism of any varietal, as the method that raises all individuals and provides through investment of all types (monetary, intellectual, physical) the best result for the vast majority in any society.

History proves this position correct, for no where on earth and at no time in history, has the Entrepreneurial democracy of America been bested in its capacity to deliver the prosperity, improved quality of life and the liberty and freedom desired by human beings everywhere.

This of course leaves us with larger more personal questions. What do you believe? Do you ignore the evidence? Does it matter? And if so, what are you going to do about it, if anything?

Worth considering or not, you decide! Lemmings or lions, which are you? Time to choose!
