Founders Documents

There are few civil societies in the world where the premise of their orderly management is so clearly articulated as that of the United States of America. Our founders understood that if they were to avoid the the tyranny of their past they needed to have clearly stated moral convictions, well defined parameters for the role of their government, and last but not least an expansive view of human rights that embraced all members of their society.

This feat was accomplished over much time and debate and resulted in what is known today as our nations founding documents. The words put to paper commencing in 1776 have for over 200 years formed the foundation of the relationship between our nations governance and of the those governed.

Today it is believed by many, that the principles espoused in the founding documents have been largely ignored by an ever expanding and intrusive government, or worse yet, willfully violated by a ruling elite irrespective of political philosophy.

For those familiar with words that make up the Declaration of Independence, the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, there can be no debate that our elected officials, past and present, are in the least guilty of violating their oath to “support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America”. Their continued expansion of federal governance over state autonomy is but one example, and politicians of both state and federal governing bodies are equally guilty, by their action or inaction.

Truth be told however is the fact that many of our citizens are ignorant of the words contained in these founding documents and as a result unaware that their rights as citizens are slowly being debased or worse yet, stripped away and that in the end we will all be the lesser for it.

Now, we are all entitled to our own opinions but not our own facts and that being said, one cannot know if the founders documents and the words laid down in them are being violated unless one has actually read them and then correlated the actions of our government to them.

For me the evidence is clear, but to facilitate your own inquiry and in my belief that an educated citizen is the best form of citizen,  I present;

Our Founding Documents

The Declaration of Independence

The United States Constitution

The Bill of Rights

When all is said and done you will need to decide whether getting engaged in the debate has relevance to the quality of your future and that of future generations. Act now, or not. You decide!
