NO Mosque At “Ground Zero” And Why That… Is A Very Good Idea!
No doubt about it, the possibility of a new mosque at Ground Zero has unleashed a clash of epic and highly combustible proportions.
Fielded on one side… the bulk of the totally insane membership of the progressive liberal democrat party, other “why can’t we just all get along Eyes Wide Shut to Reality” citizenry and members of the “Muslims of the World Unite Against America” bunch. On the other and in a nutshell, but not of the acorn variety, the “clinging to their guns and religion” bunch.
I am, and happily so, a member of the latter group, although the role of religion in my life is best described as devoid of the embellishments of ceremony or pomp and circumstance. I believe in a higher authority and in the manifestation of it in my life. I do so without imposing my beliefs on others but try, through my actions, to be a better citizen and neighbor in the process. I expect the same consideration from those around me, near and far.
The reality is that Muslims, by and large, take a very different point of view… or at least the ones with a voice. If there is a different point of view we have yet to hear it with any volume or consistency. Until heard otherwise there is one view point and one alone and that is “Out with your religion and way of life and in with ours”… and with it the ever important and not to be ignored point, over your dead body if need be.
Of course all of this seems so foreign to many of those whose life experience leaves them devoid of any capacity to see outside themselves and with it the harsh realities of Islam as it is practiced in all but a few tiny enclaves. Realities not pretty no matter how well packaged.
Well, in an effort to assist those who lack the life experience and are therefor prone to illogical conclusions to simply asked questions I present Pat Condel. This in the hope that his ‘foreign’ point of view (he’s from England) might accelerate the learning curve of those less informed among us.
America’s Founding Documents?… Who Cares!
There are few civil societies in the world where the premise of their orderly management is so clearly articulated as that of the United States of America. Our founders understood that if they were to avoid the the tyranny of their past they needed to have clearly stated moral convictions, well defined parameters for the role of their government, and last but not least an expansive view of human rights that embraced all members of their society.
This feat was accomplished over much time and debate and resulted in what is known today as our nations founding documents. The words put to paper commencing in 1776 have for over 200 years formed the foundation of the relationship between our nations governance and of the those governed.
Today it is believed by many, that the principles espoused in the founding documents have been largely ignored by an ever expanding and intrusive government, or worse yet, willfully violated by a ruling elite irrespective of political philosophy. Full Story

During the last 30 years we Americans have been so politically divided that some of us have called this left-right, liberal-conservative split a “culture war” or even a “second Civil War.” These descriptions are no longer accurate. The precise, technical word for what is happening in the United States today is Revolution. Because of our country’s history, we tend to think of revolutions as military conflicts, and of the revolutionaries as the good guys; the image of Minutemen fighting valiantly against the British forces at Lexington and Concord lies deep within our DNA. But sometimes — quite often, actually — revolutions aren’t military conflicts, and the good guys are the ones trying to keep the revolution from happening. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany by its elected president; he would spend the next two years consolidating his power with the legislative connivance of his political allies in the Reichstag. In October 1917, Lenin and his Bolsheviks took control of Russia from Kerensky and his Social Democrats — who had overthrown the Czar earlier that year — entirely through parliamentary maneuvering in Russia’s fledgling Duma. Although there are many topics upon which Pat and I do not agree it is hard not to fully appreciate his point of view in regards to radical Islam, which in large part, appears to be the only kind of Islam with a voice. Pat has been experiencing the full benefit of what could very well be in our future and one need not look any further than the experiences of Europe, Britain and France in particular to see what is coming to America if our political leadership chooses the same path of least resistance.
