Revolution at America’s Door. Not If, But When… And Sooner Than You Think

During the last 30 years we Americans have been so politically divided that some of us have called this left-right, liberal-conservative split a “culture war” or even a “second Civil War.” These descriptions are no longer accurate. The precise, technical word for what is happening in the United States today is Revolution. Because of our country’s history, we tend to think of revolutions as military conflicts, and of the revolutionaries as the good guys; the image of Minutemen fighting valiantly against the British forces at Lexington and Concord lies deep within our DNA. But sometimes — quite often, actually — revolutions aren’t military conflicts, and the good guys are the ones trying to keep the revolution from happening. In January 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed chancellor of Germany by its elected president; he would spend the next two years consolidating his power with the legislative connivance of his political allies in the Reichstag. In October 1917, Lenin and his Bolsheviks took control of Russia from Kerensky and his Social Democrats — who had overthrown the Czar earlier that year — entirely through parliamentary maneuvering in Russia’s fledgling Duma. Obama continues to reflect his true beliefs about those of us that by every measure are centrist conservative patriots. Those of us who put freedom, citizen and country ahead of kowtowing like surf’s at the alter of Obama’s progressive divinity.
How does he do so? Well certainly not by his words which by now are easily ignored for their worthlessness. Like any commodity in over supply the value proposition in embracing them is zero… and they are unlikely to ever find an improved condition. Talk is cheap and Obama’s talk is the cheapest of all.
No, Obama illustrates his disdain for those like you and I by the company he keeps and those he continues to attempt to place in positions of authority. Take for example his recently rebuffed nomination as head of the TSA. He could not be more clear in his chosen words that as head of this organisation where his true efforts would be placed. Not in the Islamic terrorists who repeatadly try to kill us in ever increasing novel ways but, well, just play the video. He will tell you in his own words.
Now, I am not a Christian (a reality of birth and upbringing) and truth be told my religion should have no bearing on this discussion. Unless of course it is the basis of an ideology that supports killing those who refuse to fall in servitude, and mine is not. But it is in this regard that this “rejected” ideologue is dangerous in his own right, especially to the freedoms provided us in our founding documents. Yea, except the last attempt to kill us wasn’t overseas at all was it. It was somewhere over Detroit International Airport. But not too worry, Barack and Janet have got your back. Well, here is a different point of view.
The War Against Islamic Totalitarianism and thoughts on the subject by Yaron Brook, head of the Ayn Rand Institute for Individual Rights. Brook has gained much attention for his application of Objectivist moral philosophy to the question of American Foreign policy in the Middle East.
He advocates an American foreign policy of rational self-interest that would serve to only protect the rights of Americans (as opposed to any form of government monetary aid, or state-building, or spreading democracy). This may not be in the interest of Israel vis a vis American support but it surely provides a basis to their right to any and all action to defend themselves without apology.
Brook claims that the Islamic terrorists initiated a war against the West because they hate the West’s culture, wealth, love of life, and global influence. This is opposed to the ideas that Islamic terrorists attack the West because they are poor, or because the West supports Israel, or any other reason.
